About us

No famous face. No yacht fund.

Most bottles on the shelf are sold one of two ways. A celebrity shows up for a photo shoot and puts their name on the label, or a corporation spends more on marketing than on what's in the glass. Either way, you're funding their ad budget and their next yacht. Not the vodka.

By the numbers.

What's in the glass.

SINTAX is distilled in Chicago's West Loop and charcoal filtered, with nothing added afterward: no sugar, no glycerin, no citric acid. We couldn't afford a Super Bowl ad if we wanted one, so the money goes into the bottle. It shows: 86 points and silver at the 2026 Bartender Spirits Awards.

Who's behind the bottle.

A banker, two doctors and a lawyer walk into a distillery.

No punchline. That's just us. None of us came from the liquor business. All four of us came out of school with student debt. Most of us have paid it off. A lot of people never will.

People are going to buy vodka either way. A lot of that money ends up with celebrities and corporations that won't notice it. We'd rather it go to someone who will.

Your round. Their loans.

We pay the government's sin tax like everyone else. Then we pay our own, into the pot: 15% of our profits. The pot isn't for us. It's for whoever's still making those payments. Whenever it's big enough, we draw a winner at random on Instagram at @sintaxvodka and send them one month of their student loan payment, up to $1,000. No loans? Nominate someone who has them.

The drawing is open to Illinois residents 21 and older. You don't have to buy a bottle to enter. We'd like it if you did. Official rules and how to enter are on our giveaway page.

Be bad. Do good.
